Meet the Team
Gideon is Managing Director and Founder of Tamar. He comes to Tamar with decades of experience in managing companies and leading teams. Alongside his duties at Tamar, Gideon also volunteers and is a trustee for several charities.
Gideon loves managing Tamar because he is passionate about making a difference, running an agency that cares about the people it supports and helping people to stay in control of their own care and life. When he is not working or volunteering, Gideon enjoys visiting his native Yorkshire, helping people in the community and occasionally a good serving of fish and chips.

Carole is the business development manager for Tamar Care Leeds and Manchester.
She has worked in project and business development management for over 20 years and brings much experience and enthusiasm to this role.
In her spare time, Carole enjoys coastal and hill walking, charity fundraising, cooking, reading, listening to jazz and spending time with her family, friends and beloved elderly cat, Grey.

Jodie is the Care Coordinator at Tamar Leeds, responsible for the recruitment of staff and overseeing the day to day running of the support schedule for staff and clients. Jodie allocates Personal Assistants with the right skills and experience to deliver the best quality care and support to the individual client’s needs.
Jodie has many years’ experience in the hospitality and events industry. This role required her to plan schedules and oversee the allocation of staff. The skills she learnt from this previous role are transferable to the role Care Coordinator and along with Jodie’s caring nature, Jodie is well suited to this position.
In Jodie’s spare time she likes to spoil her 2 cats, attend music festivals and go shopping for shoes.

Anita is the Care Manager, responsible for the day to day running of Tamar Care, Manchester, recruiting and co-ordinating staff and client matches to ensure that we deliver an outstanding service to our customers.
Anita has worked in various roles within the care sector for over 20 years and is passionate about helping people to remain in their own homes and be as independent as possible.
Anita loves to spend time with her family and friends in her spare time and enjoys going out, shopping, travelling and watching films.
